Here’s an exercise that will make a profound difference in your life. Write a letter from yourself - the “you” that is 10 years in the future - to the “you” today.

That sounds kind of crazy, doesn’t it? Yeah, it’s a bit crazy when you first think about it but give it a chance.

What would your 10 year future self say to you now? Here’s some ideas to get you started.

  • First I want to thank you for doing _____________________ 10 years ago because it created these things for me today ____________________

  • I’m glad you changed your thinking about _____________________________ because it was limiting me. Now I think about it this way _______________________________

  • I know it was tough for you to _______________________________ but you did it and now I’m _______________________

  • I wish you could see me now. Today my life is full of ____________________, , ______________, and _________________

  • You’ve got the potential to do great things. And you did them. Believe in yourself. And start taking action now because time passes by so quickly. I’m grateful to you for having the strength and courage to ___________________________

This exercise will certainly make you think. It may make you cry. Either way, it can be the inspiration for starting on the path to become the YOU you want to be.

After you do this exercise, please share your experience with us.
